Get Mentoring! - FREE Volunteer Mentor TrainingGet Mentoring! was launched in November 2011 by Business Minister Mark Prisk and has been put in place to recruit and train thousands of business mentors across the UK. Led by SFEDI (Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative) the project also has strategic partner support from major UK business representative bodies and trade associations including the FSB, British Chambers of Commerce and the British Bankers Association.
The training will help the individual explore the way their skills, knowledge and experience can be used to support new and growing businesses. Those that complete the one of the training sessions will also receive free membership of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (IoEE) and be listed on mentorsme.co.uk, a national web portal that provides a single point of access to mentoring services.

Preparing to Run Your Own Business - Level 2 QualificationThis Qualification is suitable for any one thinking about starting a business. It's a 4 week programme consisting of 2 training sessions per week followed by one to one support and guidance. You'll understanf more about what it takes to runa business, gain skills in business planning, marketing, business processes and more. You'll also gain a qualification in the process!

Starting Your Own Business - NVQ Level 2 QualificationIf you know that you're definately going to start your business then this is the qualification for you. You'll learn everything from researching and planning your business to keeping the money flowing and the practical day to day things that you'll need. This one's a little more in depth and hands-on so it's delivered in 12 sesssions over a six week period.
